Our Board, and their respective sub-committees, meet on a regular basis and are responsible for the Coward’s Punch Campaign’s governance and leadership. They are committed in providing strategic direction and compliance, whilst being transparent and accountable at all times.

Justin Manolikos

Chair

In his current role as Director at Hall Chadwick WA, Justin Manolikos has been providing strategic, taxation and business services for over 25 years. He sits on the Board of 3 not for profit organisations. He is a Fellow if the ICAANZ.

He promoted Danny’s world title boxing events including 3 of the largest boxing events in Australian history as head of Green Machine Boxing. He is also the company director of various private and public companies. Justin has been a very quiet achiever yet instrumental in the background ensuring the smooth sailing of the campaign operations from a Board perspective with invaluable and extensive input since the campaign’s inception in 2012.

Paul Ramler AM

Board

Paul is currently CEO and Projects Director of RGS Events, a global supplier and Project Managers for major sporting events including Olympic and Commonwealth Games, the FIFA World Cup, the Rugby World Cup and the Pan American Games. 

Paul was Deputy Chancellor at Monash University from 1991 to his retirement in 2009. He served as Chair of the Monash University Foundation for nearly 20 years and Monash South Africa from its inception until the campus was sold early in 2019. As a result of his involvement with the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Paul was instrumental in the establishment, and was Deputy Chairman of O.G.K.S. (Olympic Games Knowledge Services SA) – a joint venture between Monash University Australia and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) based in Lausanne, Switzerland.   

Paul’s work in education dates back to 1971 and in 1997 he was appointed a Member (AM) in the General Division of The Order of Australia for his contribution to ‘educational administration’.

Wayne Healy

Board

With a background in business psychology, Christopher Paterson is an Executive coach, facilitator and presenter. He has over 20 years of HR consulting and coaching experience across Australian, European, US and Asian markets. Established in 2009, Mr Paterson is the founder, owner and managing director of ALCHEMY Career Management – a boutique coaching firm supporting career success.

Craig Lovett

Board

Craig Lovett has specialised in the area of event management, mobilisation and strategies for venues and global events for more than 30 years. Craig has become well-recognised for his success and expansion throughout Australia, United States of America, United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East. In a period covering 33 years, Craig Founded Cleanevent, which took the small Australian company to a worldwide recognised success. He is currently the Co-Founder and Partner/Principal of Incognitus. Founded in 2008, they are a global consulting and event management company specialising in the Leisure, Sport and Entertainment sector. Using simple technology combined with extensive operational knowledge to design and develop specific outcomes and strategic solutions. Craig’s global industry experience is demonstrated in running events including for 1993-2010 Australian Formula One Grand Prix, 1996 Atlanta Olympics Games, 1998-2010 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. 

Craig has been a pivotal figure in raising the figure of the campaign by attracting a high-powered network to the annual Coward’s Punch Campaign fundraising dinners his company hosts that has seen the campaign go from strength to strength.

Christine Nixon APM

Board

Christine was the 19th Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police leading 14,000 staff, operating across more than 500 locations and overseeing an annual budget of $1.7 billion. She joined Victoria Police in April 2001, after serving with the New South Wales Police from 1972 and in 1994 became the first Female Assistant Commissioner in 1994. She lead the Victorian Bushfire Recovery and Reconstruction Agency after to 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires.

Christine is a Fellow of ANZSOG, The Australian Institute of Police Management, The Australian Institute of Management and The Institute of Public Administration Australia. 

Currently Christine is Deputy Chancellor of Monash University, Chair of Monash College Pty Ltd and Board Chair of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Christine has a long-term commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and individuals. 

Christine teaches and is a sort after speaker on corruption, resilience, risk management and leadership

Danny Green

Board / Patron

Danny Green is a former Australian boxer with an amateur and professional career that spanned a quarter of a Century. Green was the light-heavyweight representative for Australia in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and 1998 Commonwealth Games. As a professional, he held the WBA light-heavyweight world title from 2007 to 2008; the IBO cruiserweight world title twice, from 2009 to 2013; and the WBC interim super middleweight world title from 2003 to 2005.

In 2014, Green partnered to launch his first health and fitness gymnasium called Greenzone Fitness. Two years later he opened his second Greenzone in the northern suburbs, both being widely recognised as the ‘go to’ facilities to train at in Perth. In 2014, with the same partners, he founded a boutique boxing and strength franchise called 12RND Fitness that now has 78 facilities around Australia, 2 in New Zealand and 1 in Singapore, with global expansion soon in the UK & United States – it is the world’s fastest growing boxing franchise.

Danny Green founded the Stop the Coward’s Punch Campaign in 2012 to facilitate a harm prevention awareness campaign via education and publicity aimed at reducing the number of ‘coward’s punch’ attacks in our communities.

Coward’s Punch Limited is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as ‘Deductible Gift Recipient’ (DGR) meaning that donations are eligible for income  tax deduction and the foundation is exempt form GST.

We are committed to the standards of the Australian charities & not-for-profit governance and aim to fulfil obligations within the guidelines for charitable foundations.
